My bestie since middle school recently got back in touch with me through facebook and this makes me very happy. Back in middle school we used to talk about this movie The Five Heartbeats all the time which inspired me to write this blog. The Five Heartbeats is one of my favorite movies of all time! Seriously. The movie is about a fictional group based on several artists from the 50s and 60s. The movie takes us through the journey of the group over a few decades. Although marked as a "musical drama" they movie was directed by Robert Townsend and Co written by Kenan Ivory Wayans, both whom are comedians. Either way if you have not seen this movie, you have not lived. And if you don't get goosebumps from the second half of this upcoming video....you don't have a pulse!
