This week was the Battle of the Sexes challenge. This week marks the first time that all the crews perform together. The opening dance was cute, but I personally never really liked when the crews dance together. Like stop wasting time, let's get this show on the road ya know? Anyways this is the first time in the show's short history to have two all female and two all male crews, and im quite sure the producers had nothing to do with that.
Quest: they were the first crew to go on to the semi-finals next week sending Fly Khicks to the bottom. They danced to Chris "i'll smack a bitch" Brown which is kind of awkward on a battle of the sexes (a Rihanna song is used later). They did a good job, it was not one of my favorite Quest performance, but I love these guys so whatever.
Beat Freaks: As much as I am not a big fan of Beat Freaks these ladies have been killing the competition these past couple of weeks. The whole robotic opening, 'ol girl at the end doing headspins while putting shades on? Cold. They are more than likely going to win this show if Quest dont just blow them out of the box.
The bottom two were Strikers and Fly Khicks as I predicted last week (but it was quite obvious who was going to be in the bottom anyways).
Strikers:They danced to Daddy Yankees "Pose" which the video features season 1 champs and the BEST dance crew Jabbawockeez. Ok the performance...just wasnt good, it wasnt. Mike got lost from the jump and the crew as a whole was just sloopy, and now is not the time for that.
Fly Khicks: they performed Rhianna's "Pon de replay" (awwwkaard) As much as I wanted to go home weeks ago these chicks delivered. Point blank.
So the Strikers went home and the Fly Khicks stayed to make it on to the semi-finals. I hope the producers dont try to pull something slick and have an all female finale cause im sorry FK just dont belong in the final two. So favorite performance of the night would have to go to the Beat Freaks. Next week ABDC will bring back some alumni to incorporate different dance styles into the crews' performance. They are bringing back Kevin from Jabba, Taeko from Fysh n Chicks, Ronnie from Sup3r Crew (yumm!)Mike from Kabba Modern and Frost(super yummy) from Supreme Soul. Im really looking forward to that on.
