There are certain ways to raise awareness of your cause, and there are ways to be a douche about it. PETA blurs those lines daily. They always have the most annoying celebrities be their spokespeople (i.e Pamela Anderson) and they dress up as the KKK outside of a dog show. Members of PETA wanted to "draw parallels between the KKK and the Westminster Dog Show. So what the dog show hangs black dogs?
